0 Christmas Eve Buffet

Went to Parkcity Everly Hotel last nite for their Christmas Eve buffet dinner

an annual event for our family hahahahaha

They have really very pretty Christmas decorations but i only took one photo -- the large Christmas tree outside the hotel

They have another one inside the hotel but it isn't this grand because it has less lightings

This tree actually had a blinking "parkcity everly hotel" on it

but everytime i snap, the lights go off so the one you see now is without the lighted words -.-

Did not bring a DSLR along so used my X10 for photos

and i don't know why my hands keep shaking when i take photos

Probably because i haven't been using my x10 for photos lately

a bit unused to keeping my hands really still

but i didn't settle the bill hahahhahahahhaa

I forgot this salmon's name -.- is it Curb salmon? arrgh weird name they have

Turkey was sooooo soft! yummmmmmilicious!! (i did not take the chicken XD)

My first round

Sushi-- damn i love their sushi!!! Way way way better than the previous years (they sucked) and also better than Sushi King's. However, still lose Sushi Zanmai XD

Potato and macaroni salad-- Not bad. Hmmm. mada mada desu ne.

Ham-- too salty arrrgh i can never learn how to eat ham just like that

Salmon-- I love the golden one (the what Curb salmon) but not the red and orangey one. I guess they're prepared in different ways. Fresh! but a bit too salty for me.

My second round from the main course section

Chicken was too dry although the gravy was nice

Lobster and prawns not fresh at all, ended up not eating them

fish fillet's coating was a bit salty but i like the texture of the fish. Would love it if they had them in bigger slices

macaroni and lasagna was superb

3rd round
Cheese cake tasted absolutely heavenly except that the bottom part which was made of biscuit if im not mistaken is too soggy
Sponge cake was well, spongy. And it MELTS in your mouth! omggggoshh. NICE! but too much icing for me
Blueberry tart was too sweet. I mean the topping. Blueberry filling wasn't as fresh as i expected. Most disappointed in this. Hmmm. :(

My last round

sago in gula melaka and agar-agar

Mum loved the sago in gula melaka but i didn't like it. Maybe it's because the gula melaka has this strong sweetish smell. NO LIKEYYYY ><

Love the agar-agar to bits! The only thing that is plain enough for me.

Maybe i've been taking home cooked food for too long that everything tastes either too salty or too sweet for me

Overall,
the food was great.
the music was great.
the people were great.
and i met many friends there. :D
